New course records have been set at this year's Hull Marathon.
West Yorkshire runner Jonathon Walton smashed last year's time by 1 minute and 6 seconds, to complete the 26.2 miles in 2 hours 31 minutes and 34 seconds.
Meanwhile Georgina Schwiening from Cambridge was the first woman to cross the finish line 15 minutes later, setting a women's course record by some eight minutes.
It's also hoped two World Records could have been set - the quickest emoji and the quickest four person costume marathon - dressed as a caterpillar, although these are still to be verified.
Race Director Lucas Meagor has praised the role of the volunteers on the day. He says: "There would not be a community sports event on this scale without the commitment of so many people, organisations and businesses."
