A huge sculpture made from over 100,000 knives collected through police forces surrender campaigns across the country go on show in Hull's Queen's Gardens today.
The Knife Angel is a national monument against violence and aggression and a memorial to those who have lost their lives to knife crime.
The arrival of the sculpture also marks the roll out of the #NoMoreKnives campaign to educate school children in this region about the dangers of knife crime.
Humberside Police's Assistant Chief Constable Scott Young hopes it will make people think twice about carrying a knife around.
He says: "This is a 27 foot sculpture, made out of knives that have been collected and surrendered around the country. It's such an impactive monument that I think it will have a huge impact."
