An accident which killed a former Pro- Vice Chancellor at Hull University wasn't caused by engine defects.
An investigation into the death of the former Pro-Vice Chancellor at Hull University, who died in a helicopter crash, has found no evidence of defects.
Her Majesty's Lord Lieutenant Barry Dodd died when his helicopter came down near Aldbrough in North Yorkshire last May. The Air Accidents Investigation Branch said the helicopter was seen by several witnesses to be flying normally, before climbing steeply into the cloud.
They say it's likely the pilot became spatially disorientated and was unable to maintain control of the helicopter.
