A law sponsored by an East Yorkshire MP has passed its latest Parliamentary stage.
A law banning rogue parking companies from unfairly fining motorists parking on private property has taken a step closer.
The new bill, which is being led by East Yorkshire MP Sir Greg Knight, has passed its second reading stage in the House of Lords.
He explained more about the bill last year: It will require those people who operate private car parks to be fair and give people the benefit of the doubt when it's needed. It will also mean they have to put up proper visual signage when it's needed so they can't rip people off."
