A project's being launched in East Yorkshire to encourage more young people with learning disabilities to go out on an evening.
The Gig Buddies scheme matches people with a learning disability with a volunteer who shares similar interests, to engage in nightlife activities.
Caitlin Brooks from Mencap, the charity running the scheme, says: "It's really to reduce youth social isolation, and really impact youth social action as well.
She added: "We think the impact is huge for both sides, for both the people with the learning disability and the volunteers, we think that they're sharing in new, fun activities."
