Figures show thousands of patients were delayed in transfers from hospital to home.
Dozens of East Yorkshire patients have been left stuck in hospital beds due to delays in transferring them to their homes.
There were over 4,000 delayed transfers between September and October last year in our region alone.
Health bosses blame 'substantial pressures' for the delays - which in some cases were double the number predicted.
John Skidmore, from East Riding Council, says big improvements have been made in recent months.
