East Yorkshire businesses urged to introduce quiet times

It's to help people with autism access businesses.

There are calls for shops in East Yorkshire to introduce quiet times in their buildings to help those who need a quieter environment.

Ian Streets, the managing director of About Access, says background music and flashing lights can be distracting for people with autism, without them it's easier for a family to go into the shops.

He's calling for businesses in this region to do more to improve access and be more aware about customers' disabilities.
