Chief Constable takes temporary charge at Cleveland

Lee Freeman is to take over the Cleveland force for three months.

The Chief Constable of Humberside Police Lee Freeman is to take over as the temporary chief of the Cleveland force.

It follows the resignation of Mike Veale, after "serious" allegations about his behaviour emerged.

Freeman will step in for three months and his deputy, Chris Rowley will act up in this region.
