Graham Stuart says rural areas are losing out.
The Beverley and Holderness MP says ambulance response times in rural areas are 'disappointing'.
Graham Stuart has expressed his concern, that places such as Withernsea and Hornsea are losing out, due to over-coverage in places like Hull and Leeds.
Graham says it's not acceptable for people to get picked up in two minutes in Leeds, but have to wait far too long in rural East Yorkshire.
Andy Pippin, Sector Commander (North and East Yorkshire) at Yorkshire Ambulance Service said:
“While we acknowledge that response times in rural areas can vary, we are confident that patients in the East Yorkshire area are receiving a safe and responsive service.
“Overall demand for emergency ambulances is increasing year-on-year and this pressure is reflected in all NHS services across the whole country.
“We remain focused on working more efficiently and effectively, including in a closer and more integrated way with our NHS colleagues and emergency service partners.”
