99.8 KCFM Presenter - Ed Bretten

99.8 KCFM presenter - Ed Bretten

THE ED BRETTEN BREAKFAST SHOW - WEEKDAYS 6-10AM.

"Ed Bretten was born in the Seventies. He won't tell anyone exactly when as he firmly believes some things are better left to the imagination. He is looking forward to probably spending his 40th birthday at the 2012 Olympics in London though!

Ed got into radio purely by chance after hearing a plea for more "volunteers" for his local radio station's youth show. He was given access to the record library and hasn't looked back since. Neither has he returned Five Star's "Rain Or Shine" LP but don't tell anyone.

Ed has presented Breakfast Shows on radio stations in Lincolnshire and Yorkshire and is delighted to be back on this side of the bridge! He loves his son, family, friends, tennis, Florida and getting up at 4:30am, although not necessarily in that order!"

Birthday - 17th July. Typical Cancerian. Love being at home and clearly sensitive!

Birthplace - Lincoln

Favourite Artist - Hard to narrow it down to one. I'll let Prince, George Michael and Maroon 5 fight it out for my affection.

Favourite Song - The full 9 minutes version of "Purple Rain" by Prince. Classic!

Favourite Film - Back To The Future. The only film I've ever watched more than once at the cinema. Takes me back to 1985 (just like the movie...!)

Most Embarrassing Moment On Air - What, this week? So many to mention but I distinctly remember leaving the microphone on and being gestured at by the cleaner outside the window that she could hear everything I was saying. I also wanted to know why Melanie C's nickname at school was Holland, although she wasn't too keen to tell me. Something about the country being flat...? Wish I'd let that one lie.

Biggest Fashion Mistake - Countless haircuts ("can you make me look like Jason Donovan" was a 1988 mistake) and I'm pretty sure I once went on holiday wearing a shellsuit.

Worst Hairstyle - See above. I can't bring myself to repeat it.

First Record You Bought - A comedy song about John McEnroe telling the umpire he could see chalk dust circa 1982. I do remember knowing every word to the B side of a Rolf Harris song too but keep that one quiet!

Your Karaoke Song - Depends on the crowd. "Islands In The Stream" is a good one but I can never remember the words so have to read them off the screen!

How Do You Spend The Weekend? - I present another Breakfast Show on a Saturday (it's ok...I'm not moonlighting!) and Sunday is wonderful as there is NO 4:30am alarm call. Either spend it with my son or catching up on loads of telly on Sky Plus!

Perfect Night Out? - Definitely a spot of tennis followed by a couple of beers with friends putting the world to rights. That's most Friday evenings in my life!

Most Annoying Habit - Making up lies on questionnaires. I'm kidding. Trying to be organised and not being is a habit which annoys me!
