David Doyle-Davidson is a legend in local rugby league. He wore a black and white shirt for Hull FC more than 200 times, also coaching the Airlie Birds to promotion from Division Two in season 1977/78 winning 22 of their 26 games. He also took them to the John Player Number Six final in January 1976.
The Doyle’s playing career spanned 11 years from 1961 to 1972 in which he played 208 games, scoring 23 tries and 1 goal. He coached from May 1974 to December 1977.
