Carl was born on Chanterlands Avenue in Hull on 21 April 1955. His schooldays were spent at Hornsea on the East Coast. When his studies were completed his ambition was to enter the broadcasting industry.
He started his own mobile disco at the age of 16 and over the years has worked worldwide in Switzerland, Austria, Norway, Denmark, Israel and the USA.
Carl has gained a wealth of experience in the music industry and has been involved in record promotion, public relations, agency management and has voiced thousands of radio and TV commercials over the years. His broadcasting career began in 1974 with BBC Radio Humberside and has since included work for Radio Caroline, Radio Mi Amigo, The Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, The Voice of Peace in Israel, Viking Radio, MAGIC 1380 KSMJ Sacramento California, 99 WSFW FM Seneca Falls New York, Blue Danube Radio in Vienna, Austria, the satellite service The Super Station, 96.3 Aire FM, Hereward FM, Minster FM, Stray FM, BFBS, Home 107.9 ,Garrison Radio, Radio Nova in Moldova, ASDA FM, Magic 828 and Alpha FM.
Carl owns a radio station in Spain in La Manga called 91FM Radio Atlanta where he presents five shows a week, and commutes between Spain and the UK every week.
He's looking forward to returning to the airwaves in Hull and East Yorkshire on KCFM and to renewing some old friendships, and being able to eat pattie and chips again!
Carl is a full Equity member and has worked as a TV extra on a number of programmes. Hi's hobbies include record collecting, reading and collecting tape recordings of radio stations from around the world.
