When Helen was six she came second in a competition in the Daily Express– first prize was a trip to Lapland and Helen's prize was a £5 book voucher – she was completely gutted (Helen wanted Lapland!!) but that’s what started her love for writing. Fast forward 15 years and Helen graduated from HullUniversity with a first class honors degree in English with Creative Writing.
When Helen was at uni she was Deputy News Editor of Hullfire, the student newspaper and then progressed to become the Features Editor. Helen also completed the Mediafly Radio training academy at Galaxy radio and worked at HullCollege writing press releases.
After uni she worked at the Press Association subbing and writing TV and entertainment guides for a variety of national papers and magazines including: the Independent, the Sun, Heat Magazine, Nuts and the Scotsman.
Helen joined KCFM in March 2009 and I absolutely love's it! She spends most of her time taking briefs, writing scripts, floating around in her imagination thinking of ideas and then presenting back to clients.
