Dan has always wanted to pursue a career in radio, ever since he realised his hair had a startling resemblance to a microphone. You could call it destiny.
He did his degree in Radio at the University Of Sunderland and began volunteering at KCFM at the end of 2008.
The initial weeks brought plenty of traffic dodging in the local supermarket car park on a Friday night whilst asking people about Hull City, and being called Leo Sayer by the notorious James Clark.
The coming months saw him involved in many aspects of the stations sport output and he even went to France to work on an outside broadcast when Hull KR played Catalan Dragons in June 2009.
He started full time in July 2009. And he’s still being called Leo Sayer.
Dan’s job is primarily in Sports. Conducting interviews, editing packages, writing scripts and producing many of our sports programmes and commentaries. He also works on News too.
He loves football and Hull City. He HATES Leo Sayer…Mika…Annie or any of the other ‘celebrity lookalikes’ he gets labelled with!
