Competition Terms & Conditions
LINCS FM GROUP COMPETITION RULES
1. All entrants to any Lincs FM Group contest both imply and agree to participate in the contests and obey the rules by their participation in the contest. The Lincs FM Group comprises Compass FM, Dearne FM, Lincs FM 102.2, Oak FM, Ridings FM, Rother FM, Rutland Radio, and Trax FM.
2. All prizes must be accepted as awarded. Prizes are non-exchangeable and non-transferable, and are not redeemable for other prizes. The Lincs FM Group cannot accept responsibility for the loss of a prize once it has been received by the prize winner and all prizes must be claimed within 3 months.
3. Employees of the Lincs FM Group, its affiliated companies, their advertising agencies and immediate families are not eligible to enter or win.
4. The Lincs FM Group may limit competition entrants to only those people listening within its stations’ normal transmission areas at the time of entering the competition.
5. No prize may be used in any way that would have, or could have been expected to have an adverse or negative effect on the Lincs FM Group and its stations.
6. Winners will permit the Lincs FM Group and the sponsors of particular competitions to use their name, voice and/or likeness without prior notice or compensation, for promotional purposes in connection with the contest in broadcast, electronic and print forms.
7. Winners are responsible for all costs associated with travel to any venue or event for which a prize was awarded, unless otherwise specified.
8. Winners shall solely be responsible for all applicable taxes or additional charges on any prize awarded.
9. Winners agree to indemnify and hold forever harmless the Lincs FM Group, promotion agencies, their agents, officers, employees, affiliates and assigns for any injuries, accidents, misfortunes, or causes of action arising from or in connection with participation in any contest and/or acceptance of the prize.
10. Any ties, disputes, conflicts, questions or concerns regarding the Lincs FM Group contests and/or their associated prizes will be handled by the Lincs FM Group, whose decisions are final and indisputable.
11. Winners agree to indemnify and to hold the Lincs FM Group, it’s affiliated and parent companies harmless in the event of any injuries or other maladies with regards participation in any contest staged or sponsored by the Lincs FM Group. Entrants have entered the contest at their own risk, and agree to hold nobody responsible for any injuries or misfortune with regards to participation in any Lincs FM Group contest.
12. If a concert or other ticketed event has been awarded as a prize and the concert or event is postponed, rained out, cancelled or for other reasons beyond the Lincs FM Group’s control does not occur, the Lincs FM Group will not be responsible for replacing the prize.
13. The Lincs FM Group may impose an age limit on entering specific competitions, which will be announced on air and posted on our website.
14. The Lincs FM Group may require proof of winner’s age before prizes can be sent to winners. Receipt of prizes may be delayed until such proof is received by the Lincs FM Group and failure to do so will negate any claim. Prizes will be mailed / available for pickup 6-8 weeks after they have been awarded, unless otherwise noted. Concert tickets are usually not available until 2 weeks prior to the concert date. The Lincs FM Group cannot be held responsible for delays in postal delivery methods or strike action by such organisations.
15. Names of winners are available from the Lincs FM Group upon request.
16. If the winner(s) of the prize cannot be traced after reasonable efforts having been made by the Lincs FM Group then the Lincs FM Group may dispose of the prize as it thinks fit without any liability to the winner(s) for having done so.
17. Where competition entry is via phone or premium rate phone or text entrants must be the person who pays the bill or have the permission of the bill payer before entering. The cost of entering competition will be announced on air and displayed on the station website.
18. The Lincs FM Group is not responsible for any disconnection of a participant’s telephone call or sending of text messages due to local or long distance phone company’s failure, power company failure, or other act of god.
19. The Lincs FM Group reserves the absolute right to disqualify any entrant to any competition which it considers has used improper means to enter. Winners of any prize in a competition may be excluded from taking part again in any competition run by the station for up to one month.
20. Winners of previous competitions may be asked to step aside to allow another entrant to win.
21. Past employees of the Lincs FM Group cannot participate in competitions up to 2 years following their departure from the company.
22. The Lincs FM Group retains the right to amend these rules and regulations at any time for any reason.
KCFM Premium Rate Texting Terms and Conditions
1. Closing Date and Time will vary according to what is stated on-air. Entries made after the closing time will not be entered into the competition but may still be charged. All entries made must have received their chargeable bounceback in order for them to be deemed valid.
2. Method and Cost of Entry:
• SMS text to 88833 – send text with KCFM followed by the 'keyword' to indicate your answer (the 'keyword' will vary depending on the competition). Please also include your name. Texts may costs upto £1.50p plus one standard network rate message. Charges will be deducted from the entrant's available credit time if they are a pre-pay customer or appear on their monthly statement if they are a pay-monthly customer. SMS entrants will receive an SMS confirmation text message of their entry. The cost of the text will be announced on air when the competition is promoted.
3. Prize: The first entry drawn at random from all eligible entries who have answered the question correctly will win the prize. The random draw will be made from the automated winner picking tool in our text system. The winner will be contacted on their phone number on the competition draw date. KCFM will not amend contact information provided. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact a winner. Failure to respond and/or provide an address for delivery may result in forfeiture of the prize. If they cannot be contacted, or are unable comply with these terms and conditions, KCFM reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant.
4. Any person who is an employee or an immediate family member of an employee of KCFM or any other person who is directly connected with the organisation of any particular competition is ineligible to participate.
5. By entering the competition, entrants will be deemed to have read and understood these rules and be bound by them.
6. Competitions are only open to residents of the UK.
7. Entrants must be at least 16 years of age unless otherwise stated.
8. All decisions of KCFM will be final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into.
9. No responsibility will be taken by KCFM for any answers that are illegible, misdirected, lost for technical or other reasons or received after the closing date. All entries must have been received into our text system before the closing date and time in order for them to be deemed valid. If any network issues that are flagged to us which affects competition entries from being submitted we will make a decision as to the actions we take and an announcement will be made on air.
10. If for any reason an advertised prize is unavailable KCFM reserves the right at its absolute discretion to substitute a similar prize of equivalent or greater value. None of the prizes may be exchanged or transferred and no cash alternative will be offered. Only one prize will be awarded per person. Please allow 28 days for delivery of all prizes.
11. KCFM reserves the absolute right to disqualify any entrant to any competition which it considers has used improper technical means to enter.
12. Use and Protection of Your Personal Information: KCFM recognises that your privacy is important to you and we use the latest technologies & best practices to secure all personal information. KCFM aims to preserve your privacy at all times and will not disclose your personal information to third parties unless it is required to do so by law or it, in good faith, believes that such action is necessary to:
• Comply with the law or with legal process
• Protect and defend our rights and property
• Protect against misuse or unauthorised use of this website
• Protect the personal safety or property of our customers or the public (among other things, this means that if you provide false registration information or attempt to pose as someone else, information about you may be disclosed as part of any investigation into your actions) Where required to do so, KCFM may pass on your personal information to a legal or regulatory body.

BRIT Awards Limited Ticket Terms and Conditions
1 These terms and conditions (“Conditions”) apply to any and all BRIT Awards 2010 tickets (“Tickets”) to The BRIT Awards 2010 due to be held at Earls Court on 16 February 2010 (the “Event”).
2 The Event is organised and Tickets are issued by BRIT Awards Limited, Riverside Building, County Hall, Westminster Bridge Road, London SE1 7JA (“BAL”).
3 By being present at this Event you consent to being filmed and/or recorded. You also agree not to assert any moral (or similar) rights and give all necessary consents under the Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988 (as amended) and all other applicable legislation in respect of any film and/or recordings. Please note that we are entitled to make full use of any film and/or recording in all current and future media worldwide without any liability or payment to you, including permitting others to do the same.
4 Any person who purchases, holds or uses a Ticket (“Ticket Holder”) acknowledges and agrees that he or she is subject to all of these Conditions.
5 In the event of a breach of these Conditions by a Ticket Holder, BAL or its agents may at their sole discretion: (a) render and declare the Ticket void; (b) refuse the Ticket Holder admission to the Event; and/or (c) remove the Ticket Holder from the Event.
6 If a Ticket is declared void or if a Ticket Holder is refused admission to or removed from the Event because of a breach of these Conditions, no money shall be refunded to the Ticket Holder.
7 All persons who wish to gain access to the Event must have a valid Ticket.
8 BAL or its agents at the Event shall be entitled, but not obligated, to carry out identity and security checks (including photographic ID checks) upon presentation of the Ticket by a Ticket Holder at the Event. If the Ticket Holder is not on BAL’s list of intended attendees at the Event (as notified to BAL by the person(s) that purchased that Ticket Holder’s Ticket at the time of purchase or prior to the Event), BAL and its agents may, at their sole discretion, declare that Ticket Holder’s Ticket void and BAL and its agents may refuse that Ticket Holder admission to the Event or remove that Ticket Holder from the Event.
9 Neither the Ticket Holder nor any other person (other than BAL or its agents) is entitled to assign, donate, transfer or otherwise dispose of any rights arising from the Ticket, or the Ticket itself, to any third party, including, without limitation, if the transferee does or intends to:
a) sell, resell, expose, offer or make available for sale, auction, donate or otherwise dispose of Ticket(s) in any manner or place whatsoever, including, without limitation, online via an online auction website; and/or
b) transfer or use such rights or a Ticket as part of or for any unauthorised:
(i) advertising, sales or promotional purposes;
(ii) premium give-away, competition, prize draw or sweepstake; or
(iii) hospitality or travel package.
10 If a Ticket Holder is unable to attend the Event, BAL may, at BAL’s sole discretion, provide that Ticket Holder with a full refund of the price paid for the Ticket from the original point of sale less any reasonable administrative and processing costs.
Please note:
• No briefcases, backpacks or large bags will be allowed at the Event
• No one under the age of 16 years will be admitted to the Event
• No photographic/recording equipment is allowed at the Event
• Please ensure mobile phones, pagers and watch alarms are switched off during the performance
• Tickets will be exchanged for a security device on arrival
• BRIT Awards Ltd/Earls Court reserves the right to refuse admission
• Security searches will take place
• Latecomers will be admitted only at a suitable break in the Event
• Re-entry to Earls Court will not be permitted
• This Ticket must not be used for competitions, and/or given away as prizes, refunded, exchanged or re-sold for profit, commercial gain or used for promotional purposes
• Artists’ appearances are subject to change
• BRIT Awards Ltd and Earls Court accept no responsibility for loss or damage to any person or any property
• BRIT Awards Ltd reserves the right at anytime to withdraw, cancel or void any Ticket issued to the Event
• No jeans are to be worn to the Event
• Smoking is forbidden within Earls Court
