Woman dies after Pocklington crash

A 35-year-old woman's died in a car crash near Pocklington yesterday evening.

It's after a collision involving two cars on the junction of the B1228 General Lane and Ash Lane shortly before 6.

The woman driving the other car suffered serious but not thought to be life-threatening injuries.

A police statement says: "At 5.45pm yesterday, 13 November, a 35 year-old woman sadly died in a collision between her car, a Peugeot 208, and that of a woman driving a Vauxhall Mokka.

"The collision happened on the junction of the B1228 General Lane and Ash Lane at East Cottingwith near Pocklington.  

"The women were the only occupants of both vehicles and the driver of the Vauxhall Mokka suffered serious but not thought to be life-threatening injuries."
