The aim of the event is to highlight and stop discrimination

Hull Pride takes place in West Park this weekend.

X Factor contestants Alexandra Burke and Marcus Collins are some of the artists performing at the event, which takes place over two days for the first time.

Director Andy Train says they're aiming to stop discrimination.

He told KCFM "Challenging people who have issues around prejudice, people who might be vulnerable, those who feel they might be bullied at school.  So it's about saying you're not on your own, you are supported and you have every right to be who you are."
