Two charged after Beverley jewellers burglary

Two men charged after burglary at Hugh Rice jewellers in Beverley's Saturday Market on Monday.

39-year-old Ian Billany and 37-year-old Lee Rose, both of Morpeth Street in Hull, appeared in court this morning charged with burglary.

A police statement says: "Enquiries commenced when the store was broken into around 4am on Monday 6th November and a large amount of stock including Pandora charms & jewellery, Nomination charms & jewellery, Thomas Sabo charms & jewellery, Olivia Burton ladies watches and Michael Kors ladies & gents’ watches and jewellery."

Billany and Rose have been remanded to prison and are due to appear next at Hull Crown Court on Friday, December 8.
