It's part of the Freedom Parade

The majority of the 1st Battalion soldiers involved in today's Freedom Parade have recently returned from a 6 month tour in Afghanistan.

This morning's procession through Beverley includes the ceremonial closing of the North Bar gates, where the town crier asks them whether they are friend or foe before allowing them through.

The march through Bridlington this afternoon begins on the Promenade and will include a presentation of a Jubilee gift for the Queen.

The Yorkshire Regiment are also due to march through Hull this Saturday.
