The East Riding is set to see improvements to broadband services

Government funds are to be used to help rural areas get a better internet service.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is hoping to improve broadband services across the county.

They're using government funds to upgrade the network as part of the authority's rural strategy.

The funding has been taken from a pot of eight point five million pounds allocated to the Humber.

The engineering work is expected to start next April, and be completed two years after that.
