A new sculpture has been chosen to remember Hull's war dead.

The giant globe, made up of metal leaves, will be placed in Queen Victoria Square.

Each leaf represents a civilian killed in the city during the First and Second World Wars.

It was designed by students from Hull College and, subject to funding, should be unveiled in two years.
