New power plant moves step closer

Application approved by Government

Plans to secure a £20m grant for a power plant on the River Hull have moved a step closer.

The application by the Spencer Group has been approved by Government, they're now awaiting final approval for funding from the European Commission in the next couple of weeks.

The facility should cut waste going to landfill by 90% and create 250 jobs.
