MP's and Councillors have met with parents affected by the decision to end heart surgery in Leeds

Hull City Council and Hull's MPs have met parents affected by the decision to end children's heart surgery in Leeds.

It comes as the Regional Health Panel decide whether to refer the decision to the Health Secretary.

Sam from West Hull was at the meeting, her son was treated at the facility after complications with the birth.

She told KCFM, "My little boy spent the first seven weeks of his life there, and he's been back several times since.

It's a great facility, which has places where the family can stay. That's so important as it relieves some of the financial and mental pressure of having to be there."
