Bridlington Harbour Commission's new Chief Executive feels the harbour is vital to the town's economy.

Margaret Hyland was recently appointed to replace the outgoing Chris Wright, who retired earlier this year.

She says:

"There are around a hundred local businesses and four hundred people employed around the harbour. If you put that into the economy you're getting a lot of things from it; all the businesses have suppliers, they all have people on the pay roll".
