Last day for consultation on the proposed 'caravan tax'

Local MP Graham Stuart wants a decision on the tax before Government break for the summer.

Today marks the final day of the consultation period over the introduction of the 'caravan tax'.

Cross party local MP's have objected to the VAT citing the huge impact upon the East Yorkshire economy - where the bulk of the whole industry is based.

MP for Beverley and Holderness Graham Stuart says if the Chancellor was to scrap the tax, we'd need to know fairly soon as the House of Commons goes into the Summer recess in July.
