The number of people crossing the Bridge has increased since the tolls dropped

The number of people crossing the Humber Bridge has risen by six percent since the tolls were halved.

Two point three million people crossed the Bridge between April and August this year - that's an increase of over one hundred and thirty thousand.

Bridgemaster Peter Hill says they're on target to keep tolls at the current level in the short term, and he believes the number of users will continue to grow.
