The MP for Hull North is calling for the Government's help, following the announcement that Comet is to go into administration.

The Hull-based electrical company will call in administrators next week, meaning more than two hundred jobs are at risk in the city.

Diana Johnson says:

"There's a real jobs crisis in this area; it comes after the news about Seven Seas, Kimberly Clark and McCain Foods, so my reckoning is it's now near a thousand jobs that are under threat in Hull and the Humber in the last ten days alone".
