A group of Holderness schoolchildren have recycled thousands of bottles, into two garden benches for their playground.

The five pupils from Withernsea Primary spent the holidays collecting from businesses, events and the beach.

The Seaside Savers were taking part in the annual Humberside Police Lifestyle Project.

Teacher Martin Lindgren has praised their work. 

He says they've made a real difference, and have helped to spread a positive message about reducing plastic use.
