East Yorkshire has been put forward as part of a trial area to promote the symptoms of ovarian cancer

East Yorkshire has been selected by Government as part of a trial area to highlight the symptoms of ovarian cancer.

Only three percent of women could identify any of the symptoms, which include persistant abdominal pain and bloating.

It's hoped increased awareness in both women and doctors will lead to earlier diagnosis and treatment.
