Graham Stuart MP is urging both local authorities to oppose waste disposal by burning

The MP for Beverley and Holderness has writtern to both our local authorites, asking them not to consider any incineration schemes.

Hull City Council and East Riding of Yorkshire Council have been working together on a joint waste plan review, which doesn't complety rule out the possibility of incineration.

Graham Stuart explains why he feels they aren't the right way to deal with waste.

"It's not good for the environment, a non-efficient way of using material, they get in the way of recycling and aren't popular with the general public.  I am urging both councils to continue in the current position of not supporting mass burn incineration."
