A local campaign is being run to prevent the end of children's heart surgery in Leeds
It's hoped East Yorkshire residents will join Friday's day of action to raise money to help keep children's heart surgery in Leeds.
Funds are needed for a judicial review to fight the decision, which means local families will have to travel to Liverpool or Newcastle.
Director of the Children's Heart Surgery Fund is Sharon Cheng. She told KCFM, "Our case is very compelling and our solicitors are working hard to be ready to put the decision regarding a legal appeal to our trustees.
It's a big decision to make, as we didn't want to go down the legal route, but the window of opportunity is only a few months to do so."
