Citizenship ceremony takes place in Beverley

6 people become British on St Georges Day

6 people have been officially recognised as British Citizens in Beverley.

The ceremony at Longcroft School completed the process and swore their allegiance, where former residents of places like Iraq, India, Kenya and Sierra Leonne finally become British citizens.

East Riding's superintendent registrar Patricia Mann says the school location is important, because it welcomes people to into the community, and fits in with the schools GCSE curriculum.
