Bid to boost East Yorkshire's coastal economy

Over 1,700 businesses in the tourism and retail industries on the Yorkshire coast are being balloted as part of plans to bring prosperity and money into the coastal economy.

Consultation is currently taking place for the Yorkshire Coast Business Improvement District (BID).

The plan is to raise £6.5 million over 5 years to put back into communities by creating new events, festivals, markets and general improvements.
