Around £300,000 to be invested in tackling alcohol related crime
Levels of crime are the highest in East Yorkshire than anywhere else in the Yorkshire and Humber area.
The Humberside Police Authority are tackling alcohol related crime in East Yorkshire.
They've committed nearly three hundred thousand pounds towards education and prevention initiatives.
Chair of the Humberside Police Authority Ros Taylor explains why they're trying to tackle the issue.
"Humberside has the highest level of alcohol related violent crime in the whole of the Yorkshire and Humber area, we felt it was an important thing to do."
