24 year-old man charged in connection to the Hull bank incident

Mohammed Ahmed, of Innsworth Garth, Bransholme, was charged last night.

A 24 year old man has been charged after petrol was poured and set alight in two banks in Hull.

Police were called after a man was reported carrying a machete in the City Centre on Tuesday.

Mohammed Ahmed, of Innsworth Garth, Bransholme, was charged last night with offences including attempted robbery, arson with the intent to endanger life, and possession of an offensive weapon. 

He was remanded into custody and will appear at Hull Magistrates later.
